The Future Is Building for M&P

June 1, 2021

The ability of every business to ride the highs and survive the lows is what will determine its success. M&P Services is no different, learning how to adapt during the peaks and troughs of the mining market, and most recently, how to emerge strong through a global pandemic.

“Sensible accounting practices and strong balance sheet management has been at the forefront of our success to date”.

While the business was predominantly set up to service large-scale operations such as mining and construction projects, the team have noticed an across-the-board increase in demand for transportable building options, to cater from every space imaginable, including lunchrooms and restrooms to living quarters, office space and customised workshops.

With thousands of Australians holidaying at home, accommodation has been hard to come by for many, with families and businesses turning to alternative solutions.

Prefabricated buildings offer the flexibility to easily modify, relocate or sell when the requirements change.

The future looks bright for M&P, who are expanding its manufacturing division to cater for the increased demand in transportable buildings. Plans are underway for M&P to increase its manufacturing output from its main branch in Diesel Drive, Paget. To cater for projected growth, M&P also have plans to expand its Rockhampton depot.

“We are also monitoring the strong market appetite for commodities and other minerals in north western Qld and have plans in place to service that area”

“As well we have holdings in the Wandoan and Dalby region to service the Surat Basin as it continues to grow”.

“We see a long-term sustainable growth phase in portable building manufacturing in all markets,” Max Jnr said.

Infrastructure projects in central and northern Queensland along with strong demand in most other sectors is underpinning our growth plans for 21/22 FY and beyond.

“Of course we wouldn’t be able to do all this if it wasn’t for our loyal, hardworking & long term experienced staff”

Our people are our most valuable asset. Being a family owned and operated business those values are instilled across the board.

“The hard work and dedication our staff (past and present) have shown to date shores up the prosperous future of the company.”

“Continuous improvements towards lean manufacturing practices will provide solid foundations for the business to thrive well into the future, as well as be fortified to navigate through inevitable economic highs and lows that occur in a cyclical nature.”
